Not a Sparrow Falls by Lynnette Bonner is a historic Christian romance novel. When Charlotte gets her heart broken, she responds to an advertisement for a schoolteacher position in the frontier town of Wyldhaven, but she begins to doubt her decision when she is immediately taken hostage by an outlaw and must be rescued by Sheriff Reagan Callahan.
Bonner’s tale of adventure is definitely a page-turner! Chock full of adventure on the open plains of Washington state, the author also presents a story that keeps you guessing about the romance until the very end. She also effectively works the love of Christ onto the pages. I was surprised that the author chose third person omniscient perspective—rare in romance novels—but it works well with the different characters of the story.
Proofreading perspective: The single space indent to denote a new paragraph (rather than tabs) threw me off at first, but eventually my brain adjusted. I also found one error in typing, but nothing else. This book is almost as polished as one can get.
